Registration After 05/21/04--On Site
We will be accepting on-site registration on June 2, 3, 4, 5 during the conference. The On-site registration will only accept Checks drawn on US accounts, Cashier's Checks and Cash (US dollars).
The on-site registration fees are $10 higher than the pre registration fees.
Conference Location--University of Illinois at Chicago
The conference will be held on the Campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) on the near-West side of the City of Chicago. The meetings rooms are located on the third floor of the Chicago Circle Center (CCC) 750 South Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois
The UIC campus is located approximately 2 miles west of the 'loop'-- the circle of elevated mass-transit trains that mark the heart of the City. The campus, located on the Halsted stop on the Blue Line of the CTA train system, is within minutes of many important and historical Chicago landmarks.
How to Get to UIC and Housing From:
O'Hare International Airport:
1) Taxi Service: You can pick up a taxi outside of the baggage claim area in each terminal. You will want to tell your driver to take you to University of Illinois at Chicago--Halsted and Harrison near Greektown. Depending on when you arrive, this taxi ride will take you anywhere from 25 minutes to 1 hour (in traffic). The taxi fare from O'hare to downtown costs about $30-35 dollars.
2) Train: You can also take the Blue Line 'L' train from O'Hare to UIC-Halsted. You can access information regarding the 'L' from the following link:
You will take the Blue Line
train from O'Hare to the UIC-Halsted Stop. This train ride takes
approximately 45 minutes, but only costs $1.75.
The housing options are a) Holiday
Inn at 506 west Harrison---this is three blocks east of campus on Harrison,
b) Rodeway Inn at Madison and Halsted--this is three blocks north of campus
on Halsted, or c) Campus housing--this is on the corner of Harrison and
Halsted.
Midway Airport:

managers of arts and cultural organizations and artists, united in their
interest in furthering understanding of the economic aspects of the arts

research conferences every two years, sponsors small conferences, workshops,
and sessions concerned with cultural economics at meetings of other scientific
